B# (Be Sharp) is a music preparatory school where naturally gifted young singers learn musicianship skills as well as sustainable vocal technique. Our goal is to produce educated singers who thrive in live performance settings.

We aim to prep and provide performance opportunities in genres ranging from Classical to rock and everything in-between.

Meet Your Instructors

Chelsea Ritenour

Chelsea is a professional singer, recording artist, and voice professor. She earned her BFA in vocal performance from Carnegie Mellon University and MM also in vocal performance from Mannes Conservatory. She worked professionally as a classical singer with The Opera Theatre of Saint Louis and the Mittlesachsisches Theater in Freiburg, Germany. She then transitioned to contemporary music and traveled throughout the US with the production band, Studio E. Shortly after Chelsea began professional studies in Speech Pathology from the University of Pittsburgh to gain a deeper understanding of the functionality of the voice. Due to this knowledge Chelsea is an extremely sought after voice teacher both privately and at the University of Pittsburgh, Greensburg where she is the voice and music theory professor.

Currently Chelsea is the lead singer for the melodic metal band, The Fall of Me with whom she has recorded two albums, their self titled EP and a concept album set to drop in early 2025. The band’s music can be found on all streaming platforms.

Chelsea is praised as one of the most versatile and proficient singers within the Pittsburgh area and is regularly contracted as a lead guest vocalist for both live and studio sessions for bands and solo artists. Some of these bands include; Jason Kendall Productions, The Mike Moscato Band, Adam Jansen, Luke Weltz, Skies of Terra, and many more. Chelsea has recorded at Thornwall Studios, Tonic Studios, Red Caiman Studios, The SchoolHouse, and various home studios in the genres of rock, metal, pop, musical theater, and classical.

Chelsea is furthering her studies in Fall of 2025 and will be obtaining a certificate in Vocology from NYU.

Donnie Barney

Donnie Barney started touring the country music circuit at the age of 15 with Pittsburghs premier act The Chris Higbee Project. For 3 years he honed his craft alongside the regions top players and worked behind the scenes to bring some of the biggest live music productions to fairs, festivals, nightclubs and more including the famed Jamboree in the Hills in front of 40,000 people. 
Since then Donnie has toured with, managed, produced, recorded with over 60 acts spanning all sorts of genres and styles. from Country to Rock and even Hip Hop including Rick K and the Allnighters feat. The Mad Drummer, Tim Litvin, and more and has worked behind the scenes on projects for West Virginia University and more!
With over 17 years of professional experience Donnie will guide you through any career challenge you may face as a young performer.
